Watch Heritage gallery has watches that were worn while history was being created like Seiko Bellmatic circa 1968 worn by the Governor when Bangladesh was formed; another piece of history is a watch, which was gifted to a member of the royal family of Gwalior by Mrs. Jinnah. The piece De resistance is a "Benson - 18k half hunter Pocket Watch" circa 1895 - which is the oldest watch in the collection that will be displayed.

There is an universal appeal and excitement in owning a piece of history, and your heirloom is just that.

Another factor that has made watches unique collectibles is the intricate artisanship with which they are put together. Many of the watches of yesteryear, which were assembled with extreme accuracy and fine workmanship, continue to be reliable timepieces today. They standout as unique because that type of watch is no longer hand made.

The club aims to bring together like-minded people who share a passion for antique watches by conducting regular meetings, seminars to discuss and showcase old heritage watches; collecting and sharing information on how & where to get antique watches repaired and reconditioned. The club is also looking at a possibility of creating a web-based market of antique watches. The Club already has an impressive library of reference books related to the history of watches and brands and intends to upgrade it at regular intervals.

Appraising the value of antique watches is one of the most important services that the Club aims to provide. As with any old objects appraisal is not definite, as it is principally based on perceived value. However there are certain guidelines one can follow to arrive at a fair market price. The Club will associate with the data-banks of the brands to make the assesment as correct as possible.

Watch collecting is fast growing as a hobby and a business. In India, the last two decades saw lots of watch restorers prospering after buying old watches at a very low price. And then restoring and selling them at a very high price in the International market.
